Hello all I am interested in attending as a new artist. I have been attending Ren-fest and SCA events for several years. I normally travel the comic book conventions but I am thinking of getting back heavily into the fantasy circuit once again.

I had a fantastic time at the Mid-Michigan Renaissance Festival. I really enjoy the forest setting and all of the merchants and performers were very considerate and offered up a wealth of information about their craft. The Gutterpups ware extraordinary performers (I have their CD for my car ride to work) and the Society for Creative Anachronism members were very helpful in dispensing tons and tons of information about their fighting techniques and armor making ideas. When those kids are invited to the "Whack a Knight" session, it is hilarity for all! The "dragon leg" (turkey leg) was the best I've had and went well with my root beer while listening to the Gutterpups. I'm looking forward to the expansion of the festival in years to come, and commend you on organizing such a complex event. Well done! The Rangers have lots of great ideas for next year including an archery display and I got a kick out of Tweedler the Fool who had me laughing plenty of times throughout the day. a link to my photos and video can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffwiden/sets/72157622614572560/

Once again, thanks for an excellent time.

My friends, boyfriend, daughter and I would like to thank you all for the amazing experience we had at the faire on Halloween!

My boyfriend and I are dorks... huge dorks. My daughter is growing up with an appreciation of the finer things in life, Anime, role playing, books and a great love for fantasy. Things have been very rough financially for the last six months or so, and the plans we had to go to the Ren Fest in Holly had to be put on hold. Elorah was really looking forward to going, but I had come to peace with not being able to take her there when I happened across a link to your website while looking up local trick or treating times. With the $1 coupon for each of us, and Elorah being free because she was in costume, we were able to cash in our bucket of change and afford tickets to visit the faire on Halloween!

Everyone was so nice, and Elorah got extra treats for Halloween. She was the little dark fairy who won the costume contest. She still carries around the marshmallow gun she won. It's a fun reminder that we probably wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise. I still feel bad that we weren't able to show the performers more appreciation for the shows, but next year when we come back we'll make sure to have enough saved up that we can make up for this year!

The Mid Michigan Ren Fest is on our list of new family traditions, I'm sure you'll all see us for Halloweens to come!

Thank you so much for the hospitality and kindness we were greeted with by everyone we encountered! I certainly won't be traveling to Holly for a ren faire any longer, there is a high quality one so much nearer (and now dearer to my heart).

Today was our first trip the this Ren Fest. My kids (ages: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 & 14) all had a blast. They are already planning their costumes for next year.

The setting was beautiful, the weather perfect, the shops very interesting, and the entertainment entertaining!
Family Friendly!!!!

I went to the Michigan ren fest just last week. When i was visiting my favorite jeweler vender he said he would be up near frankenmuth for the mid Michigan ren fest. I went to the Mayfair ren fest in marshal and was disappointed. I may just be spoiled by the huge one in holly. I am hoping to make it up there from canton mi.

It is understandable that cash can make people autonomous. But how to act when one doesn't have cash? The one way is to receive the business loans or just small business loan.

Myself and my daughter were first timers this year and went twice! It was WONDERFUL! We loved the experience and the atmosphere. It was very hot on the days we went but didnt seem to notice once there. A BIG shout out and round of applause to Romea and Juliet. The play had us laughing long after and we were sure not to miss it the second time around. Also, I purchased "Black Knight" soap from Lady Leigh's and I wish I would have bought A LOT more. It is devine. The food was great and the products very interesting and unique.
Thank You for a wonderful time and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
Give Sir Dan a kiss from both of us.

Today are auditions at Sullivans Black Forest Restuarant from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. Seems the weather has cleared but yet extremely cold, good day to stay inside and audition for the upcoming festival! Sullivans has some great food and drinks too so you can spend the day there. They even have tv's around the bar to watch. Good luck to all who audition!
